The social networking giant reveals that the each app that you log into will know your gender, networks you belong to, user ID and password and you full name with the profile picture. Along with this, the apps also have the access to your complete friend list and any other public information on your Facebook profile.
So, if you have no idea as to how many apps can access your data then worry not there is a way to find out that and also remove the unnecessary ones.
Step 1: Whether on desktop or on mobile, go to the drop-down menu placed on the top right corner and select ‘Settings’.
Step 2: After opening the Settings menu, select the ‘Apps’ option placed on the left side of your screen. While on the mobile, you can find the option by scrolling down the settings page.
Step 3: Now you will be able to see all the apps that have access to your data.
You will notice the list of apps that have access to your above mentioned data. But, there is a way out to get rid of the ones you don’t use or don’t want to share your data with.
In order to delete the unwanted apps you have to select the app and tick on the box placed next to the name of the app. After selecting the apps you wish to remove you just have to click on the ‘Remove’ button which appear once the apps are selected. Then a new window will pop on the screen for the final command and will also ask you to remove all the earlier posts posted by the app on your timeline. After the completion of this process all the unwanted apps will be removed from your Facebook account.
